Concrete demolition and removal
Old concrete is heavy, awkward, and unforgiving to remove without the right equipment. We break out and haul driveways, patios, sidewalks, pool decks, garage and shed slabs, foundation walls, and footings across Newport News and the Peninsula. Whether you are replacing a cracked driveway or clearing a slab for an addition, we cut it, break it, load it, and leave the ground ready for the next pour.
Reinforced and post-tension slabs, thick industrial pads, and stamped-concrete removals all need a different approach than a thin residential walkway — we bring the saw, breaker, and loader sized to the job rather than beating on it for two days.
We recycle the concrete
Clean concrete does not need to go to a landfill. We route it to a recycling facility where it is crushed into aggregate, which lowers disposal tonnage and keeps your cost down versus hauling it as mixed waste. You get a clean, graded surface back and a smaller bill for it.
How concrete removal works
- Measure & assess. We measure thickness, check for reinforcement or post-tension cable, and confirm access for the saw, breaker, and loader.
- Score & break. We saw-cut clean edges where they matter, then break the slab into loadable pieces sized to the equipment rather than beating on it for days.
- Load & haul. Broken concrete is loaded and hauled to a recycling facility to be crushed into aggregate — lower tonnage, lower cost than mixed waste.
- Grade the surface. We leave a clean, graded surface ready for a new pour, landscaping, or whatever comes next.
